This 9-day black History journey to Ghana is a pilgrimage of remembrance, reconnection, and renewal. Anchored by a Juneteenth commemoration at the Door of No Return, the experience honors ancestral history while embracing Ghana’s culture, nature, and coastal beauty. Through reflection, community, and celebration, participants reconnect with heritage and leave with a deeper sense of belonging and purpose.
📍Tour Highlights
9-Day Ghana Heritage & Reconnection Experience (Overview)
- Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome Dinner (Accra) – Arrival in Accra, welcome dinner, and opening reflection on reconnecting with ancestral roots.
- Day 2 – Accra Heritage Tour— Explore W.E.B. Du Bois Museum, Black Star Gate, Kwame Nkrumah Museum, James Town, and Makola Market.
- Day 3 – Ada Experience – Travel to Ada to visit Nkyimkyim Museum, enjoy lunch by the Volta River, and relax with a scenic boat cruise.
- Day 4 – Ancestral Trail & Naming Ceremony (Cape Coast) – Journey to Assin Manso for a traditional naming ceremony, then tour Cape Coast Castle and hold a remembrance ceremony.
- Day 5 – Kakum Canopy Walk & Return to Accra – Walk the Kakum Canopy Walkway, enjoy lunch near the park, and return to Accra for a relaxed evening.
- Day 6 – Shea Butter Museum & Beach Sunset – Hands-on experience at the Shea Butter Museum, followed by relaxation and music at Labadi Beach.
- Day 7 – Eastern Region Exploration – Visit Aburi Botanical Gardens, Aburi Craft Village, and Asenema Waterfall before heading to Akosombo.
- Day 8 – Return to Accra & Farewell Celebration – Morning departure from Akosombo, afternoon photoshoot in Accra, and evening farewell dinner celebrating unity and heritage.
- Day 9 – Departure – Breakfast, check-out, and airport transfer—depart with lasting memories of Ghana and the spirit of Sankofa.
